Shalom!

mal choot Eloheem, mee sheh rotzeh sheh yavo
Ashrey hakoreh be shem Adonay

Praise God,
Thank You for continuing to bless this land tho your descendants are few, but their graves are our proof that your bloodlines dwell on this land of ours. Amen.

Hi,
I visited Penang a couple of years ago. Visiting the museum, I found a sign that said there was a Jewsih cemetery still in existence. I went out, hailed a taxi, and went to the cemetery. The caretaker opened the gate for me and took me on a "guided tour" of the cemetery and those who are buried there. He said the last person who visited did so at Christmas time, 4 months earlier. He said usually one or two people come every year. It's very sad, but I'm glad it is so well kept and that visitors are welcome. It was a totally unexpected find.

Great to hear that it may be possible to actually go into the cemetery. Hubby and I are visiting at the moment (both with European passports), and would love to go inside and take pictures.
